Tales Of Bad RNG Chapter 1: K'ril Tsutsaroth and his distinct lack of subjugation. So it's getting to the point with K'ril where i think someone has made him bankrupt. My guess is he's been paying Death's rent for him when he gets destroyed by fellow Scapers. I've been doing a lot of K'ril lately and i'm closing in on 300 ish kills including hard mode kills with a friend. Despite the drop rate for drops being i believe to be about 1 in 40, other than one glove drop during hard mode that went to my friend, I have still yet to see a drop that's better than a measily godsword shard which In this day an age isn't worth cheering about. I can't complain too much, I have raked in enough zammy wines for 99 Herblore which is nothing to sneeze at, but it would still be nice to get the occasional drop, if it wasn't for all the decent common drops, i'd be in the red by now. Guess i've used up all my RNG for the year getting the Chaos Elemental pet after 88 kills and snagging the thieving pet within 3 days of release. It's not just K'ril either, I spent 100 more kills with a friend at Graardor and even he's bankrupt, not a bandos piece in sight. I can't vouch for Kree or Zilyana though, as i can't be bothered dealing with Kree's temper tornadoes or Zilyana's moodswings, not to mention my main motivation for killing K'ril and Graardor being the pet drops, I can easily make more money elsewhere, but until the day K'ril cuts off his hoof and presents it to me on that ice cold floor, id appreciate it if he stopped paying death's rent and gave up a Subjugation set to go with my Bandos set. Tales of bad RNG chapter 2: Skilling pets, max gains and future updates. So over the past week or so, I've mostly been focused on getting the fishing pet bubbles. since fishing is my highest skill (107) so I expected to not have much trouble acquiring it since I've seen countless other's with much lower levels in fishing get it. But of course my RNG is terrible and i'm still looking, on the bright side, I now have more than enough rocktails to achieve 99 cooking during double xp weekend, providing I can get 99 herblore out of the way quickly the same weekend. Moving away from bad RNG, I've also been working hard on getting my combatants cape with only range, prayer and summoning left to go. It's probably one of my favourite looking capes so I'm really excited to finish off the combat skills, even though 2 of them are going to once again liquefy my bank, which is never a nice sight to watch. I've mainly focused on range over the past few days, I'm really enjoying dark beasts with richochet on, I find it much more enjoyable than sitting in the abyss burning through chinchompas as it's still relatively AFK as well as giving me the ability to gain some much needed cash. Once i've got my next few 99's out of the way I'm relatively stumped about what to do, I'll most likely going to get fire making out the way once I have access to super heat form but after that i'm left with some of my least favourite skills, I'm looking at your fletching. I'ts no so much i find the rest of the skills boring, It's that there's no real motivation to grind them other than for Max since most of the useful aspects of the skills have been unlocked at this point. I'm think dungeoneering is the most likely option as it would be nice to trade out my split dragon tooth necklace for a demonhorn to make camping much easier, and the charming imp will be useful for maxing summoning, as I'm lazy and can't be bothered picking up charms. I'm really hoping the next batch for the Arc gives some decent incentives to train skills such as fletching and crafting, seeing as the only thing I can really think of as a reason to level crafting is so you can attach a araxxor hilt to a spider leg, other than that I can't think of anything of note that you can unlock at high levels for artisan skills. Speaking of the arc, I'll add my name to the long list of players who are dissapointed with it. There excuse of wanting to give us good xp rates above all else seems like a bit of a cop out for a badly thought out update. Most people would rather have a better game than xp rates, not to mention claimed islands are bugged to hell with non-rare resources dissapearing if you lobby, which isn't helpful if you have things to do like eat... In the next batch which I assume they'll announce at Runefest, I'm hoping for some decent high level incentives, for example give us something useful to do with crablet salt since it's literally there to sell at the moment (like most other resources in the arc). I'm unsure what they can do with the resources at this point, but in terms of crafting and fletching, some useful bolts and jewellery would be nice, the best in slot jewellery is pretty good as it is but it would be nice to have some alternatives that can help elsewhere in the game, for example some skilling jewellery would be a good idea providing they do it right and don't make it overpowered. They simply need to make the arc worth doing, and have items acquired be useful outside the arc, that might be my inner PVMer talking, but with the arc being dead after the first day i can't be the only one who thinks like that. With that rant over, please like/comment and let me know what you think of my blog so far. Various level up's over the past week or so...
