Having brought Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep(BBS) on release, I completed it within a few weeks it was only months later I would come to realise that it had extra content particularly in the Japanese final mix version.
So why do I bring this up now when the game was released in 2010 well after 6 long years I managed to obtain an English patched version of the original game. So with psp in hand and against my better judgment I started the adventure once more with all the characters in critical mode with one goal in mind completing the secret episode and watching blanc points. After about 80+ ish hours I had blasted through aqua and Venus’s stories believing I had collected all of the Xehanort reports needed for the secret episode. then started the nightmare that was Terra-nort and Terra's story. but after another 30ish hours that to was defeated. Then started the problems I checked a guide and it said if you have all the reports including the one from the mirage arena then it would pop up and you could access it. However, it did not and according to some from posts it was because I missed a report in the keyblade graveyard which was for terra (this I latter found out was wrong). so too went to go load up my Terra file to find it had corrupted as I had accidentally switched my psp's off too fast. Fortunately, the internet is awesome after a bit of research and luck I was able to recover my file I went and searched the twister alley every chest only to not find the missing report. The internet was now not so awesome and I was despairing. luckily I found another from with a handy dandy list of locations allowing me to locate the final report and begin my journey through the last chapter and the secret chapter. If you want to hear my thoughts on those tune into my review on throwback Thursday. Andrei /(<o>)/

Dubs vs Subs is a major debate within the anime community however this will be a topic that i will cover at a later point in time.
So for those of you uninformed a dub is when an anime is translated into another language. Standardly for most people this is english. So the next question you may ask is why are they important or even relevant. well for most anime fans the first way you will have been exposed to anime is though an english TV dub. generally these would have been showed on programing slots like Jetix Toonami and Adult Swim. now as a child their were many dubbing companies this made anime very open and accessible to all. this allowed the introduction of new, fans to the medium. however over the last few years many of these dubbing companies have been closed and what's weirder people celebrated this. That was stupid. like i said this is a primary way to bring new fans into the medium making it far more accessible. How are the japanese meant to have faith in the western market and the continuations we want, if half the community doesn't have access to the anime they like. be they casual anime fans or even people who have difficulty with reading. overall less dubs means less choice while less dubs mens that companies have to take on a larger workload so anime you may like will be missed/ have a general poorer quality |
